Star Wars Rebels S2 - Episode 11: Princess Leia!

Finally, finally, after that long hiatus, Star Wars Rebels have returned with episode 11 (I'll count The Siege of Lothal as episode 1). And what a fascinating episode it was. Beware of spoilers.

I've already watched the first season and the first half of season two. They always serve good action for me at the end of a Friday. Nothing else much to be said. Great, likable characters, especially Ezra. Well, this is not The Clone Wars, the story is not as epic and far-reaching, so we got more focus.

I watched the prequels first, thus I am biased to like the Clone Wars better. That said, the appearance of Princess Leia was very welcome in this episode. She was quite spot-on; her mannerisms when dealing with the Empire, her strategies. That was why she became general.

Ezra was still upset about his parents.I'm quite curious to what extent he'll be affected, and... will it turn him to the dark side? Possibilities.

Again, they tried to disguise themselves as stormtroopers. Perhaps that really worked with the Empire.

Now, they ran into some trouble with the transports (which are apparently the transports seen in the Knights of the Old Republic, which is amusing), with security heightened by the Empire. Here, we really start to see Leia's strategic genius.

Then they rescued the governor. As expected, the reluctant character in the beginning turned to join our heroes' side after this event.

Apparently starships are noiseless, so that this officer does not realize it taking off behind him.
Again, we see Leia's strategizing. This episode's full of that, as expected.

Also, this episode was quite full of humor, which flows nicely. Mostly, they deal with the Empire's dumbness. So it has indeed been a running gag.

Kanan amputating an AT-AT. Luke could have done this on Hoth.

The final scene was quite epic, with the usual gag that stormtroopers cannot shoot. Actually the pattern was the same as the rebels' usual raids: distraction, then sneak in only to be caught, then jump away to victory. We got to see Kanan slashing an AT-AT (which only need to take four rocket hits to be crippled... how much does it take in SW Battlefront?) in a stormtrooper uniform, which was something different, though. Also Ezra showing off--or at least tried to.

This first episode after the midseason hiatus was an epic packet as usual. And, as usual, it follows the usual pattern in Star Wars Rebels. However, this time they featured Princess Leia, and her brilliant strategies. What a nice story to calm down after the weekdays.
