Planet Colony Chapter IX: Revenge of the Spiders

The com is shocked. "Man the platforms! Kill the things!" he ordered. Everyone then man the guns. The spiders spouts a strange liquid, and the men shoot at the spiders. They only manage to kill a dozen of the creatures.

But the liquid that the spiders have been spitting is not just any liquid, though. It's an acid, a very strong corroder. The shipdisassembles, then starsts to give away.

"Abandon ship!" the captain snapped an order. "I'd agree with that. Get everything that is needed to destroy them!" said the com.

So then they do it. They packed everything, and got out of the ship just in time. The command module gives way. But strangely, the spiders are eating the wreckage. The crew must now find another way out. But how?

Planet Colony Chapter VIII: ET Go Home

"It's a totally safe landing alarm, you pathethic insolent fool!" the com said.

After landing the ship, they went out only to be greeted by some spiders.

SPIDERS? "My. That is the strangest spider. EVER." the captain said. "Do I smell ETs?" The commander suddenly seems interested. "If it is a spider, then it proves the er-- life-from-space-thingy... what is that?"
No one seems interested. Because, they're listening to a particular noise.

            One year have passed. The Freeze chamber defreezes. Now, the commander instructs the crew to shut down the hyperspace. "Shut it down, men!" he said. The men hit the button. The Destiny drops out of warp. They saw themselves face-to-face with the big planet, Gliese 581c. They will now transfer orbit and land back safely.
            They hit the thin upper atmmosphere of Gliza. But, there is a small problem. "Sir! an alarm has gone off!" the captain said. The cabin is filled with the alarm's sound. Is it a crash alarm?...

It was evening at Bayport, south of New York. People were gathering int the wide, old, two-story building known as the museum. They gathered to see the jewel that was brought just yesterday. This small, spherical, shiny transparent green gem was displayed at a secured brown table at the museum hall. It was bigger than a pearl, but smaller than a diamond. Scientists identified it as Pharaoh Cheops' amulet, and that was why so many people wanted to see it. But, in the next morning, someone rushed to the curator's office. It was the guard. He panted, then opened his mouth. “Sir!... The jewel... is stolen!” he said, frantically. So, the curator wasted no more time and dialed the police. That day, at the police office, many people were working in the one-story, red brick building. The garage there was packed with police cars. The phone rang, Inspector Detective Ken Rosenberg picked it up. He talked for a while, then said, “Okay, curator. I'm on the way.” He then said to the policemen, “Okay, boys. Follow my car.” as he entered his silver Chevrolet Camaro. He zoomed to the museum, followed by some police cars.

At the museum, half an hour later, a man, aged 30s, stepped out from his Chevy Camaro. He was tall, strapping, quite handsome, and wearing a white button-up shirt and a black tie. The curator greeted him, “Ah, Detective Rosenberg. They said you're the calmest, smartest, cleverest detective PD can get. Come, let me show you the crime scene,” he said. He took the detective to the now-vacant table. Immediately, he saw broken glass shards near a rectangular, glazed window. Surely, a man couldn't fit inside. Also, he found out that all the fingerprints near the table was the visitors'. After that, he questioned the guard. “Did you hear any noise or alarm?” he asked.

“Nope. The alarm was broken yesterday, and the hall is quite far away from my post,” the guard replied.

“Do you notice anyone very interested in the gem yesterday?” The detective asked again.

“I can tell you that there are three people that showed the VIP tickets, John Dwayne, Alan Forges, and Grant Galloway seemed very interested in the gem,” the guard answered.

Detective Ken noticed that the hall's door locks weren't broken. Then, he thanked the guard and the curator, and sped off to the Dwayne Estate. On the way, he thought about the evidences. The physical evidences lead to one conclusion... the criminal stole the gem by a grappling hook or fishing pole, he thought.

After driving for a while, the detective reached the gate that led to a vast open grounds. The Dwayne Estate at the end was still being painted with peach color. They entered a huge door. An old, bald man greeted them. Arrogantly, he said, “The crime, huh?” Detective Ken said, “Yes. Are you Mr. Dwayne?” The old man spoke loudly, “John Dwayne, yes. All I know that, all night I was sleeping,” he said. The detective was surprised. He asked John's wife, then she acknowledged it. Getting all the info, the detective went to Alan's home. It was blue, It had no yard at all. From its big, opened windows, they smelled dogs and heard them barking. They knocked. A thin, tall, bearded man answered. He looked like a drunkard. He was Alan Forges. The detective looked him in the eye. “where were you at 6 AM?” he asked. Alan hiccuped. ” Well, I -hic- was at -hic- the bar. -hic- ask my -hic- friend there. -hic-,” he replied, hiccupping every two words. Hearing that, the police went to the nearby Rock Bottle bar. The distinguished chief bartender confirmed that Alan was there at six. One blonde man, normal height was probably Alan's friend. “Sam Daneston,” he introduced himself. “Inspector Ken Rosenberg. Nice to meet you. Where were you at six this morning?” the detective asked. “Here. Well, if you wanna know more about my friend, Alan loves artifacts and he loves fishing,” he answered. “It's getting late. Thanks, goodbye,” the detective said. After that, he went home.

The next morning, detective Ken and some NYPD police went to Grant Galloway's home. Inside, a young man, not-so-short, thin, and has spiky orange hair greeted him. “Hello. Just coming to ask, where were you at six?” detective Ken asked the man, who was Grant Galloway. “I'm outta town,” he said with a Texas accent. “y'know, getting loans and visiting my dad's funeral,” he almost cried. “Wow. I'm sorry for your father. I better go now,” the detective responded. He went out of the house, then drove back to the police office.

On the way there, he heard a program about magpies on the radio. “...Magpies are interesting birds. But be careful, though, because it will stop at nothing to steal anything small and shiny that is not hidden away,” said the woman who broadcasts the program. Hearing that, the detective turned back to the museum. There, he entered the main hall and turned his attention to the teak tree outside the broken window. He shouted. “stay here. I know where the jewel is,” he said. Feeling excited, he went out of the museum building and approached the teak tree, which is as tall as the museum. He climbed up the tree, and there, he saw branches, leaves and a nest. The detective's suspicions are correct. In the nest, he saw a magpie, still brooding her eggs. Anyway, the detective shooed the magpie. In the nest that is made out of sticks and mud, he saw three eggs, some grass, and... the jewel! He grabbed it, and told the curator about everything. It was evident that the curator was happy. Soon after, some journalists, reporters, and cameramen came. They interviewed the curator and the detective. “Another job well done, detective Rosenberg?” he asked. “Case closed,” the detective replied. They both look tired, but happy to see the end of the mystery.

Planet Colony Chapter VI: Road to Solita

The Asteroids on Asteroid Belt might be a million miles away from each other, but there is one that stands in their path. No pressure. The Destiny swiftly navigates through every asteroid. As they get out from the orbit of Mars, they hit Hyperspace. the craft elongates, then zooms quickly through vacuum.

The commander and captain then went to the freeze chamber, then rest for the one year journey...

Well, sorry about waiting posts in my blog for... how long... a month?! Sorry about that.

The connection with the blog here is quite bad. It failed often.

After I finish this story, I have written at least two chapters of my story, EXCALIBUR: DAWN OF A NATION. Wait and see (if my connection is bad or not)!

Planet Colony Chapter V: One Year Track

         Ten seconds later. The Shuttle reaches the upper atmosphere. Fifteen seconds later. The Shuttle is free from the atmosphere. Without a dent. Yeah, you can do a little celebrating.

         Whatever. Back to the story...

         The President then delivers a message from the Capital the Com-Link. "Good luck. The world's fate is on your shoulders." Then, the one year journey begins... every astronaut enters their freeze chamber. The Commander and the Captain is left behind to negotiate the most dangerous part of all... the asteroid belt...

Planet Colony Chapter IV: Countdown

          About Two years after the commence of Mission Eagleview, at June 21st, 2245, the takeoff of the new Spacelab, Destiny, is imminent. The lead astronauts that will go to the planet, named Solita, is Captain James "Astro" banes. They will try to COLONIZE the planet. So, with little chit-chat, they entered the ship.

         So, from the mission command, they started the checklist. After that, the countdown.

         "Okay, guys, strap yourselves up. lets start it. 10... 9... 8... 7... 6... 5... 4... 3... 2... 1... ignition, lift off!"so then they lift off, and when they ascend, the chances are high for... a bang from the shuttle!

Planet Colony Chapter III: Mission Eagleview

          It's morning in the White House. The President has just finished his daily briefing. He decided to go to the Oval Office when the phone rings. No-not the outside line-but from the closed line. It's SETI.

          So they told the president the story and shows him the clip.The president closes the phone. Then, he told his job organiser to go to Capitol Hill.

          When the President organises the event, he already told the senate to get ready and arrange a special meeting. So, he rushed to Capitol Hill.

          The President quickly told the story in front of the Senate, then, "Mission Eagleview will commence at the time when the research is complete," he announces.

Planet Colony Chapter II: Let the Investigation Begin!

          After the signal's discovery by Agent Nine, the man from SETI HQ that picks up the phone scrambles to tell the news to his boss. "Boss... We've got a contact at Himalaya Lab," he said, panting. "Well then... IF we're not too late, we can search for evidence of life in the planet. Or maybe even colonize it," the boss replied. "We must call the Number One Man in US... THE PRESIDENT!"

          But, before that, the SETI crew do some investigating at the signal. It has been sent by Agent Nine from the lab. they search for interference, proof the authenticity of the clip, pinpointly locate the location of the sound, and set aside the sound from the interference. Last, from the location, they accurately search for the time the clip is sent.

         So, they come to the conclusion that the clip... is real. After that, then they can call the president.

Planet Colony Chapter I: Discovery

        The date is March 21st, 2243, on a planet known as Sol III, or "Earth". On an isolated lab near the peaks near Mount Everest, a researcher known for his achievements at science, is watching his Space Sound Detector, or SSD, for outer space sounds. His name is Agent Nine. Nobody knows his real name. He works for SETI, An organization which listens for extraterrestrial sounds.

        Near the end of his shift, he opens his SSD for the last time. And just in time to hear a beep. Once. Twice. Thee times. Four. Five. And it repeats. It's too much to ignore. He calls SETI Center, USA: "Sir, we have a contact..."

My No-Longer-Secret recipe of:

Milkchese Cake

Ingredients: - a slice of plain bread

                     - cheddar cheese

                     - some sweet condensed milk

                     - butter

How to make it:

- Peel off the crust of the bread.

- Apply some butter to one side of the bread.

- Apply some milk above the butter.

- Grade some cheese, then put the cheese above the seasoned bread.

- fold the bread until it completely covers the chese, then roast the bread until the cheese is melted.

  (you can  do this using a pan.)

The "Haunted" House

One day, Jake, a worker at Huge Inc. Is driving home. The bridge is blocked, so he has to go the long way, through the Darkwood forest. Unfortunately, at hafway through the forest, the car runs out of fuel.

So, Jake decides to look for gas at the woods. He saw a small house. He will look for gas there.

He opens the door, and as soon as he is in the house, the door slams close behind him. probably just the wind, he thought. He searched the house, and he heard a noise from the bedroom. he investigates the bedroom. He noticed that the window is opened. The wind again, he thought. When he steps forward to close the window, he heard the sound again. "Strange, there's no wind," he said. The light flashes wildly, just like in the ghost stories.

"I'll get outta this place!" He said, and just when he opens the door, a figure with a coat appears. Jake screams. Then, the figure lets out a sound...

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!" The man opens his coat. It's will, Jake's best friend. "I sucked out the fuel from your car, forcing you to stop here. Then I set up the sounds and flashes, to scare you. Well, sorry, okay. But, this is April Fool's day, man! And, oh, your fuel's in that can," Will explains. So, as soon Jake's car tank is full, he went back home. Will drives his own motorcycle back home.

But, as soon as the two leave the house, a figure with a coat appears, and with a flash of light, he disappears...

I found a story from this game, the trader of stories. it's about a man who loved a woman from another tribe. Sadly, the first date went wrong...

The Bells' Heart

There once was a young man named Derrida. He lived in the village near the Birch forest. All women in the village loved him, but he loved a woman of the butterfly people. The Butterflies are peoples which live in the highest mountain peak, and has bright wings, from which they get their name from.

The Butterfly woman used to teach in Derrida's village school. Derrida told her his feelings through a letter because it is quite hard to reach the school, but she never answered it because that kind of love was forbidden for both Humans and Butterflies.

There was one woman from the village, the Mayor's daughter who also loved Derrida and she is jealous to the Butterfly Teacher.

Pretending to be the Butterfly woman she wrote a letter to Derrida, suggesting a meeting by the lake near the waterfall.

Derrida was quite surprised because this is the first time the Butterfly answered his letter. But because Derrida really wants to see her, he agrees and so, Derrida went there without any doubts.

They spent a whole night there together. They dance, swim, talk and eat dinner together. They also slept by the lakeside.

But, in the morning Derrida noticed his mistake. He saw the woman, still sleeping, with her jacket a bit opened, and noticed she has no wings. She is surely not the Butterfly Woman.

Torn with grief and anger, Derrida committed suicide. He tossed himself to the waters of the lake and drowned, never to be seen again.

When the Mayor's daughter woke up, She noticed that Derrida wasn't on her side anymore. She searched the forest and the lake, but when she looked down to search the lake, she stumbled across a body... Derrida's corpse.

She panicked and ran to the village. She told everyone about Derrida's suicide. She told everyone that the butterfly woman was to blame, and she accidentally watched.

Though, The night with Derrida wasn't without consequences. Soon it turned out that the girl was pregnant...

Her father, to avoid gossips was quick to marry her with someone. She never forgave herself and each year, at the same time she placed flowers and tears where her lover died.

The Mayor, until his death still doesn't know his daughter's night with Derrida. He suspected that his girl was too close connected with someone, and never suspected that she is telling lies.

Many years after people started noticing a ghost walking the shore of the lake, a ghost which resembles Derrida, and his suicidal actions, and a ghost walking the Birch forest, the Mayor's daughter, which usually placed flowers to remember her loved one.

In the graveyard, Birch forest, there was one birch that no one cared about... Derrida's birch. They don't want to remember the old butterfly woman living inside the old village school building...

It was the teacher, Derrida's loved one. On the Birch, after many days after she heard the news, she took the clapper of the school bell and on the birch tree, she placed the Bell, because Butterflies believe that a bell is a symbol the love and faith from a woman to a man.

The Butterfly woman now waits for his soul to be ascended by the gods, waiting to meet Derrida once more...
